Cam and Gerben’s partnership began in the construction industry, where they developed a shared appreciation for quality workmanship, structural integrity, and attention to detail.
Cam started building in 2012, gaining hands-on experience in everything from full barns to custom homes. Gerben brought a background in landscaping along with a diploma in landscape design, giving him a strong understanding of outdoor space planning, flow, and functionality. Together, their combined experience created a strong foundation for designing and building outdoor spaces that are both practical and well-crafted.
As they worked together, they saw a growing demand for high-end outdoor living solutions and formed True Craft Shade Solutions to provide premium pergolas, shade systems, screens, and other exterior products for residential and commercial projects.
With backgrounds in construction, carpentry, and landscape design, we approach each project with more than just installation in mind. We understand how these systems connect to the structure, work with the surrounding layout, and improve the overall use of the space.
Our goal is simple: to create outdoor spaces that look beautiful, function seamlessly, and are built with the craftsmanship needed to stand the test of time.

This is our second review, now that it’s been a full year since our Lumon glass wall system was installed by True Craft Shade Solutions—and we’re just as happy as day one. It has completely transformed our covered porch into the best room in the house.
We use it all the time, even through the winter. When the sun is out, the space naturally warms up and becomes incredibly comfortable and bright. A year later, it’s still one of the best upgrades we’ve made to our home. The value for the price has been absolutely worth it considering how much we use and enjoy the space. Highly recommend!

From our initial contact/meeting to the final installation of our screen Gerben and Cam were friendly and very professional.
